London & Paris for Malaysians? Off course you can!

To some, London & Paris are their dream holidays but often felt out of grasp. Honestly, it's totally not!

Do browse deals on Malaysia Airlines and you could get a round trip as low as RM2300/ person to London or there's also some offers on emirates/ saudi air for RM1900/ person straight to Paris. I heard it's cheaper to land in Paris as the airport charges are not as expensive as Heathrow Airport, London. If you land in Paris, the train from Gare Du Nord to London will only take you 2 hours! Per trip can be as low as 34pound / person. Not too bad!

I took the train from London to Paris and the view of the meadows were fantastic. Sipping coffee at the small cafe deck overlooking the view was probably one of the unforgettable moment on the train. The seats were fantastic too.

I booked our stay via Housetrip. There, you can even get a room for RM200/ night in London. Off course there's plenty at higher price. Booking on Housetrip means, you're renting either a room/ a studio or an entire house from a local. It's great experience as you would get to feel like the local does and it's often near supermarkets and metros.

Be sure that you book something either near a bus route/ metro station. That takes away your concern on transportation and imagine if you shop alot, it would not be troublesome to carry things all the way. Study the local Metro/train maps and you start searching for local attractions near the train stops. It's the rule of thumb.

I stayed at Edgware Road which is where all the Arabs, Pakistani are living. Obviously all eateries were Halal and there's plenty of very affordable meals. My Fave is Lamb ribs going at 3.99pound and could feed 2 person! it also came with chips and a drink, how about that!

My mornings are spent at Costa.. I miss lazying around at Costa till 11ish to wait for Dzuhur and to do my Jama'. After that, we can go out throughout the day and not concern about having to do prayers. But on the 2nd day, we found the London Central Mosque. And managed to experience Friday prayers in the Central Mosque. It's great to know that Islam is greatly practised in London. Alhamdulillah.

If you're in London for atleast 7 days, please buy the 7 days pass on oyster card. It costs you 21pounds and you can take as many train rides/ double decker buses as you like! it costs you only 3 pounds/ day! Only thing it's only valid in zone 1&2, but that's where most of the attractions are anyways.

Nonetheless, if you plan to go to London Designer outlet at Wembley Central, you would have to buy extra value on oyster as it will deduct a separate value and it's not covered in the 7 days pass. Just add around additional 4 pounds, would be fine. What's great at the London Designer Outlet, would be Marks & Spencer outlet which is my favourite. A whole bunch of great stuffs are going at 1 pound! Only hurdle would be your baggage allowance.. :-)

I have so much more to tell, but would have to pen off for now. Will share more in my next blog! Talk to you soon!
