Talking bout food always excites me whatmore when it's lavish yet doesn't burn a hole in the pocket.
Our last trip to London definitely gave us that. Before the trip I bought a 3 course lunch offer from Groupon London. Again, I'm reminding you, please browse the offers there are as you can definitely save alot on the best deals! Maybe not relevant for those flooded with cash, but i find it a victory when i can beat the system by paying less without cutting the edges. Don;t know bout you.
I bought a 20 pound 3 course lunch for 2 at The Yacht, London. FOR 2! How fantastic! We had salads for starters, seafood pasta (which tasted remarkable) and Grilled Seabass for main and apple crumble for dessert. www.theyachtlondon.com/
We get to feel the upper class lunch (on budget, hehe) on a fantastic yacht that's docked on the River Thames. What's more breathtaking was the view from the resto, overseeing London eye!
It was romantic for our 11th year anniversary lunch and will definitely be a moment we'll remember.
We also had lobsters which normally would cost maybe around RM199 in KL? It was only 20 pound / person in Burger & Lobsters, London. www.burgerandlobster.com/
They have many outlets around London so if you're there, just google for the nearest to your location. It was so worth it!. The lobsters were big, juicy and sweet and the set came with chips and salad.Honestly, we went twice.. hehe
So, if you're planning your next trip to London, please, please, please, go there!
Last but not least, every other night, we'd settle for a humble dinner of lamb ribs( not too humble after all in terms of calory, hehe)
We would have dinner at a local fast food resto called Chicken Cottage Valley. There's a few on edgware road. Lamb ribs set that comes with chips and a drink cost only 3.99 pound. Crazy! The ribs are fat, juciy and barbeque sauced. Perfecto!
We'd opt for Half Chicken set on certain nights. The winter chill definitely made us some hungry bears.. :-) But eating in London at Budget? So very possible!
