Travel the world for Less

The adrenaline rush of packing your suitcase and thinking bout all the wonderful places you'd be is just fantastic!

Opting to always travel free and easy and never through travel agent is the best option ever!

You can shop and eat and enjoy your journey without worrying about schedules and other trip mates whom you'd not like or would be giving a big fuss in the trip. It's just fantastic, besides, what's a holiday if it's stressing you and making you rush for others?

Having said that, my number one rule for traveling free and easy is homework, homework, homework!

You can do it too! It's your escapade and you should plan it as you like, you can even go to the same place again and again without having to beg your travel agent. It's abit of hardwork but you have full control and would be able to put your money where it's worth!

My rules for traveling which you can take your tips from:

1) Dream of where you want to go ( overseas? domestic? Shopping :-) ? beach? winter? Spring?)
2) Scout for the best deal on flights.
3) Once you've decided, scout for the place to stay.
Have you ever tried Housetrip? Airbnb? it's so much more fantastic to stay in a local's apartment
and it often goes for less and bigger space. But off course hotels are also fine if you get a bargain,
normally through Agoda, booking.com or the likes of it.
4) Study the metro/ bus routes. With this, it's much much easier for you to plan your trips and you can find out the attractions and places to go nearby the stations, if you don't opt to rent a car.
5) Search for the attractions - shopping, culture, sceneries, historical places, markets, premium outlets, great places to eat and for muslims like me searching for halal eatery is a must as knowing in advance will come in handy. But in most places, you can just opt for seafood, bread, sushi joints and etc.
6) Have you ever also tried to purchase deals form their local groupons, cudos or deal pages. I often do that. Bought a 20 pound groupon deal voucher for a 3 course meals for "The Yacht, London". It was the grandest lunch for us up the yacht for only 20 pound!
7) Find out bout the currency, purchase it at the right time!

My choice is always winter time for traveling. It's summer the whole year through in Malaysia, it's only logical to call it a vacation if conditions are different from home. And I know I'm off for a holiday, when I'm at the airport with a gossip magazine in one hand and a jacket in the other. Bon Voyage!!!
